Dr Victoria Walters
Victoria is an Academic and Digital Learning Developer with a Fine Art practice. She holds a doctorate from the University of Ulster on the work of Joseph Beuys and has worked as an Associate Lecturer teaching into Visual Culture and Contextual Studies programmes at UWE Bristol and Bath Spa University and into the Art & Humanities MFA at the University of Dundee.
Writing and making visual art practice are both important to Victoria and her theory and practice-led research interests include the role of art at a time of emergency, art and home, the relationship between art and anthropology and art and ecology. Her work often uses organic and re-used materials and photography is important to her as both a means of documentation and a form of expression in itself. She is a studio holder at Bath Artists’ Studios.
