Dr Suze Adams
My practice explores the relationship between bodies and spaces and through works produced I attempt to suggest something of my experience: intimations of the seen and the sensed, the real and imagined. The physical meets the psychological: the emotive alongside more calculated responses, fact abutting fiction.
Focusing on three inter-related themes – embodiment/multi-sensory experience; experiential time and memory; the tensions between public and private space – my work presents in photographs and assemblages/installation. I am based in the UK and regularly exhibit nationally and internationally. I work from my studio in Bristol and am a lecturer in Visual Culture (UWE Bristol).
